PEDAL OPERATED TAPS AND MIXERS

TECHNICAL NOTES, INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE ADVICES

� The whole range of pedal operated taps and mixer is supplied complete of stainless steel filters. It is very important to bleed the piping before to

instal the fittings.

� All the mixers are supplied with a temperature limiting device ring to avoid scalding and to reduce the consumptions. Taking away the limiting

device ring is obtained the maximum temperature.

� If the model has built-in the flow regulator, after the installation it is opportune with a screwdriver reduce the water consumption at the minimum.

If the flow regulator is not incorporated we suggest to use the RIVER spouts with built-in the automatic flow reducer that gives a water consumption

of 7 l/min. from 0,5 to 9 bar avoiding also unpleasant spurts of water.

� For a correct installation all the wall-mounted pedal models are supplied with TEMPLATE.

� All the pedal operated taps and mixers are electronically tested for the tightness and for the operating with cold, hot and mixed water.

the tap or the mixer leak

foreign body is on flat washer seal

dismount the tap or the mixer and clean

carefully the flat washer seal A 2560 of the

mixing device A 2510. If the washer is worn

out use the other side, rarely happen that this

washer have to be replaced because the

closing happen always softly

the mixer supply water not sufficiently hot

the boiler temperature is too low, is lower than

40°C

carry the temperature of the water heater over

45°C

the temperature limiting ring is installed

dismount the control level and take away the

chromed ring

hot water inlet filter is partially obstructed

clean the filter

hot water mixing device A 2516 is obstructed

dismount the hot water inlet A 2590 and clean

the device

majority of cold water in the system - great

difference of pressure between cold and hot

water

reduce the cold water flow rate at the inlet of

the mixer with a mini-valve

the mixer do not supply hot water

feeding by instant gas-fired water heater

the model of the mixer is not correct - install

the special model for instant water heater that

allow the starting of bath heater

the fitting supply insufficient quantity of water

stainless steel inlet filters obstructed

clean carefully the filters

the wall-mounted mixer model do not supply

sufficient hot water

the installation is wrong because has not been

followed the template indications given in

endowment. See the previous causes

move the mixer higher to permit to the control

lever to make a complete stroke. See the

previous remedies

the tap or the mixer leak from the cover A 2508

the pushbutton’s o-ring A 2507 is cut or

wear-out

unscrew the cover and replace the o-ring

� the cartridge can be disassembled in front without take off the fitting from the floor

carefully the flat washer A 2560/2 wash the

cover that has built-in a seal seat

insufficient water supply

filters obstructed

clean the hot and cold water inlet filters

the fitting leak from the front cover A 2550 or

the pushbutton A 2551 remain blocked

the pushbutton’s o-ring A 2551 is cut or

wear-out

unscrew the cover and replace n. 2 o-ring

Ø 6,75 x 1,78 and clean the pushbutton

the wall-mounted mixer model do not supply

sufficient hot water

the installation is wrong because has not been

followed the TEMPLATE indications given in

endowment.
