Nel 2011, Burks è stato celebrato con due mostre

a New York City. “Stephen Burks | Man made”, la sua

prima mostra personale, si è tenuta presso il Museo

Studio di Harlem nel marzo 2011 e “Stephen Burks |

Sei un ibrido”, il suo primo progetto curatoriale,

si è svolto al Museo di Arte & Design nel maggio

2011. “Stephen Burks | Man Made” ha anche aperto

il DX design Exchange a Toronto nel gennaio 2012.

Burks is one of the most recognized American

He and his New York studio, Stephen Burks Man Made,

have been commissioned by many of the world’s

leading design-driven brands to develop installations

and products that engage hand production as a

strategy for innovation for manufacturers worldwide

In 2011, Burks had two museum exhibitions

in New York City. “Stephen Burks | Man Made”, his first

solo New York museum show, opened at the Studio

Museum of Harlem in March 2011 and “Stephen

Burks | Are You A Hybrid”, his first curatorial project,

opened at the Museum of Art & Design in May 2011.

“Stephen Burks | Man Made” also traveled to Toronto

to open at the DX, Design Exchange in January 2012.
