Depurazione dell’aria / Air purification

I trattamenti Ambience da esterno, si basano sulla proprietà fotocatalitica naturale del biossido

di titanio (TiO2) che si attiva a contatto con fonti luminose. La reazione alla luce solare sprigiona

ossigeno (O2) attivo che ossida e decompone le sostanze inquinanti, trasformandole in sostanze

innocue per l’ambiente (come acqua e sali solubili). Il beneficio è l’abbattimento delle sostanze

organiche volatili nocive (SOV, NOx, SOx).*

External Ambience treatments are based on titanium dioxide’s (TiO2) natural photocatalytic properties, which are

activated on contact with light. The reaction with sunlight releases active oxygen (O2) which oxidises and breaks

down pollutants, transforming them into substances which are harmless to the environment, such as water and

soluble salts. The advantage is the elimination of harmful volatile organic substances (VOC, NOx, SOx).*

L’ossigeno attivo e l’incremento dell’idrofilia superficiale, entrambi risultati dall’azione combinata dei

raggi solari e del biossido di titanio, principio naturale su cui Laminam ha sviluppato i trattamenti

Ambience, riesce a decomporre diverse sostanze organiche***. Questo processo disgrega le impurità

sulle superfici Laminam, riducendole in sostanze che possono essere asportate dalla semplice azione

delle piogge. Ciò consente che le superfici mantengano una pulizia prolungata nel tempo, prevedendo un

minor numero di interventi di manutenzione e il conseguente risparmio economico.

Active oxygen and an increase in surface hydrophilia, both resulting from the combined action of sunlight

and titanium dioxide, the natural ingredient on which Laminam bases its Ambience treatments, are able to

break down a number of organic substances***. This process disperses impurities from Laminam surfaces,

reducing them to substances which can then simply be washed away by the rain. As the surfaces remain

cleaner for longer, this reduces the frequency of maintenance work which in turn keeps costs down.

Funzione antibatterica / Antibacterial action

Sulle superfici trattate con Ambience, la fotocatalisi naturale genera un processo di ossidazione, che

favorisce la neutralizzazione dei batteri e impedisce a funghi e muffe di proliferare. Nel dettaglio, le specie

ossidanti generate, sono in grado di attraversare la membrana batterica e bloccare il meccanismo di replica

del DNA. Alla fine del processo, le sostanze organiche dannose sono trasformate in molecole innocue (ad

esempio acqua e sali solubili).

On surfaces treated with Ambience, natural photocatalysis sets off a process of oxidisation, which aids the

neutralisation of bacteria and inhibits the growth of mould and mildew. More specifically, the oxidants generated

can pass through the bacterial membrane and halt the mechanism of DNA replication. At the end of this

process, harmful organic substances are transformed into harmless molecules such as water and soluble salts.
